What We Believe

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — each fully God, equal in power and glory, yet distinct in role and function.(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became flesh through a virgin birth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory.(John 1:1, 14; Isaiah 7:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:11)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, empowers believers for godly living and service, and distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ.(John 16:8; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Ephesians 5:18)

We believe that all human beings are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity and worth. However, through Adam's fall, sin entered the world and all humanity is born with a sinful nature, separated from God and in need of redemption.(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23; 5:12)

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is the free gift of God, not earned by works, secured by Christ's atoning death and resurrection. All who repent of sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born again, justified before God, and granted eternal life.(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16; Titus 3:5)

We believe in the universal Church, the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The local church exists to worship God, equip believers, observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, and advance the Gospel to the ends of the earth.(Matthew 16:18; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:11-13; Acts 2:42-47)

We believe every follower of Christ is called to a life of holiness, discipleship, and obedience to God's Word. This includes ongoing growth in Christlikeness through prayer, Scripture study, fellowship, and Spirit-empowered service to others.(Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:16-25; 2 Peter 3:18)

We believe that every believer is called and commissioned to share the Gospel with all people, making disciples of all nations. Evangelism and discipleship are not optional extras but the heartbeat of the Christian life and the primary mission of the Church.(Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: the saved unto eternal life in the presence of God, and the unsaved unto eternal separation from God. We affirm the literal, personal, and visible return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal kingdom.(John 5:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:11-15; 21:1-4)
